Business Development Director

About The Position

As Business Development Director, you will identify and evaluate new strategic business, product, and solution opportunities with the objective of demonstrating and driving strategic importance and alignment for Quali. This is achieved by positioning the Quali products, services, and partner-provided offerings to create joint value solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring these programs are well established and properly leveraged by the Quali and partner field sales teams and relevant downstream ecosystems within target markets. You will work closely with the Quali sales organization through the development and launch of the solutions to ensure GTM success.

  • Become a trusted adviser to the partner and the partner ecosystem
  • Identify new business opportunities for joint offerings
  • Engage and drive awareness for Quali across partner ecosystems
  • Cultivate and manage productive senior level relationships
  • Create comprehensive business plans and support the plan execution
  • Drive focus and efficiency in the leveraging of marketing resources (staff, funding & activities) to support/accomplish key business objectives
  • Develop business cases and drive decisions for new business opportunities (may include new products, product features, partner offerings, or custom versions of existing products).
  • Align technical requirements within Marketing, Product Management, and Engineering


  • Senior business development person with strong knowledge of how to develop new business offerings
  • BS/BA in Business or related field, MBA preferred
  • Technology/SaaS background required
  • Cloud and/or DevOps experience preferred
  • Experience developing/leading complex technology centric programs and initiatives in the partner space
  • Familiarity with business, partner & channel development and sales motions/requirements within the technology space
  • Ability to develop, own and execute a business plan including all key elements pertaining to business model, technology, marketing and sales execution
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently bringing joint solutions to market with partners
  • The ideal candidate would have a strong network of key decision makers and experience working/partnering with large technology organizations
  • Ability to influence decision makers at all levels in the organization
  • Strong communication and persuasion skills

Ability to travel up to 50% (post-COVID)
